Content Management Systems

Content Management Systems Content Management Systems (CMS) automate the process of creating, publishing, and updating web site content. They make maintaining and updating the content of a web site easier, giving the content contributors, not just the web team, the means with which to manage their own content. They are usually made up of a front-end editor for inputting content, a back-end system for storing the content, and a template mechanism to get the content onto the web site. (2002. III, 201 p. w. figs.)

IASON Semantic Content Management System

IASON Semantic Content Management System Everyone knows that modern smart phones can be not only used for speaking to other people. You can play games, listen to music, or surf the internet, for example. But the growing computing power of mobile phones paired with the ability to connect to different types of networks enables the invention of new services which have an additional value for the user. The project IASON (founded by the Artificial Intelligence research group of the University Koblenz-Landau) delivers a new location-based approach for announcing services that are smartly matched against the user profile stored on the phone. The design also considers the often neglected aspects of privacy and cost effectivity. The matchmaking between announced services and user profiles in IASON is based on Ontologies and Description Logics as a semantic language. But how can a service provider understand and use these scientific constructions in order to built up and maintain his content? In this diploma thesis, a content mana
gement for IASON is developed. In contrast to usual content management systems, the focus is set on the semantics of content. To demonstrate its abilities, the KI2005 conference was taken for a showcase. (2008. 116 p.)

Content Management Bible

Content Management Bible As the Information Age dawns, the information at our disposal expands haphazardly. The Content Management Bible answers these key questions about the system readers might employ to control the expansion of information and organize targeting and distribution: What does a system that handles massive amounts of information look like, and how can a single system produce a wide range of well-targeted custom publications from the same information base? - How can a system be created that understands each piece of information and how do I transform content to fit the various distribution methods such as web, print, handhelds and others? - What are the steps and processes you need to create such a system, and how can this system serve an organization's overall business goals and future initiatives? (2nd ed. 2004. 1150 p.)
