After a five-year ban on the coining of silver dollars, a law was passed in December 1970 that provided for the creation of the Eisenhower Dollar. The Eisenhower Dollar was minted for seven years from 1971 until 1978. As the nationīs Bicentennial approached, a competition was held for commemorative designs to grace the reverses of some of the most popular circulating coins. The winning design forthe reverse of the Eisenhower Dollar was the Liberty Bell superimposed over the moon. The bicentennial coins were issued from the fall of 1975 and through 1976.Limitation: UnknownMaterial: Gold-platedWeight: 22.58 gramsIssue year: 1976Diameter: 38 mm (Approx. 1.5 in.)Quality: Extremely FineCountry: United StatesFace value: 1 DollarCustomer can only order up to 5 pcs.
